Learn Internet Marketing ? Why a Good Mentor is Important to The Success of Your Website
Feb 24th

So you have decided to try and give this whole “web thing” a go! You are now asking yourself the question where do I start? “How do I make my own website?” Like many beginners, you have promised yourself to do whatever it takes to get it right.
May be you are just “floundering around” picking-up a little bit of knowledge here and there, but nothing that joined-up-the-dots, and so you cannot make a proper start. Well, if you don’t want to find yourself among the thousands, who continually start over and again and then eventually “give up” it is a must that you start on the right foot.
What you need is to learn how to set-up fundamental building blocks. The best and easier way for you to achieve this, is for someone to actually show you how to do this in a simple, honest and understandable way.
Unfortunately, not everyone has the teaching skills necessary to do this. Some well renowned and so-called “Gurus” who are successful marketers are unfortunately “poor teachers”.
The main advantage of having a good website mentor is to teach you how to make your own website the right way first time around. Of course, you could have a go at it yourself and “dive in head first” like many beginners, the problem with this is that you could easily fall victim to information overload and soon find yourself like many newbies “slowly drowning in it”.
With so much information coming from all directions and no clear structure after a few months and a few “false starts” you could find yourself right back to square one.
A good mentor will guide through the whole process of setting-up your own website step-by-step, whilst allowing you to move from strength to strength. This step by step approach will make things clearer in your mind.
Why Finding A Good Niche is A Top Internet Marketing Strategy
Feb 23rd

The very first step in creating an efficient website is finding a specific niche.
Think for a minute. Have you got an interest or are you curious about everything that is available on the internet? Obviously not; nor is anybody else. Therefore why would you even attempt to create a website that accommodates everyone? (These are the exact questions I was asking myself when I first attempted to create my own web page).
By selecting a specific niche, you will be focusing your product or service on a clearly defined group of people. In order to market your products or services effectively you need to narrow your focus and clearly identify your target market.
There are hundreds of thousands of interned based companies online. That’s a lot of competition! Well if everyone was selling the same thing, it would be. There would be little way to achieve your goals. However, the truth is that while some markets are saturated or oversaturated, other markets are almost completely ignored.
These are the niche markets that you need to focus on.
Additionally, when people search online, they are most often seeking specific information about a specific product or service.
For example, coffee, dog training, search engine marketing, how to buy a PC and so on. If your website is devoted to helping them find information on their specific needs, you’ll be valued.
Finally, it’s easier to build a reputation as an expert on a very specific topic rather than trying to know all there is about everything. Donald Trump is an expert in commercial real estate, right? He doesn’t advise on how to buy a home, how to invest money or anything else, that’s his niche topic and he does it well.
Successful Article Marketing in 5 Easy Steps – Internet Marketing guide

Understanding article marketing
If you are not having success with article marketing, or if you are contemplating starting out, below are some guidelines which will help to save you a lot of wasted effort in the future.
No 1: Respect the article directory’s rules and regulations
Although reading each directory’s specific rules might look like a mundane, mind-numbing exercise, if you don’t adhere to them, you may well find that your article marketing career comes to an abrupt end.
No 2: Make sure your writing is up to scratch
If you wish to write, publish and furthermore get your articles noticed and be taken seriously by other internet marketers and bloggers you must at least exhibit basic literacy skills.
Nothing screams “inexperienced newbie“ louder than a poorly written article. You should re-read your articles a few times to make sure the content actually makes sense.
No 3: Proof read your articles.
All wordprocessing software include a spellchecker. Make ample use of it!
If your article is littered with spelling mistakes, terrible grammar and has little or no punctuation, visitors will not bother reading it in its entirety and instead will quickly “click away” from it.
As previously mentioned, make sure you read your article at least a few times before submitting it. Often when you read it a second time, your eyes will pick up mistakes that you did not see first time around.
No 4: Mass submission is disliked by article directories!
They usually see it as “spamming” the directory.
Truth be told, who is capable of “churning out” 100 articles in a day? Personally, I think that even writing 10 a day is quite a remarkable achievement for the average writer.
Procedure For Proper Article Submission in 5 easy steps – Internet Marketing tutorial

Successful article submission
Creating and publishing articles to directories as a way to promote products or services is a “shrewd move” for any aspiring internet marketer.
However, numerous people are at a complete loss when it comes to submitting their articles and do not know how and where to start. In this article, I will outline the entire process in 5 easy steps.
The difficulties encountered when submitting articles to various directories can easily be easily avoided with some simple organization ideas:
Step 1: This goes without saying, but you should always proofread your article and read it a few times to make sure that there are no inconsistencies. Also pay attention to the title. It should not only be appealing to readers, but also be a brief summary of your article.
Step 2: Initially, open an account with the top 10 article directories – (as your website grows, you will add more directories to your list)
EzineArticles.com
ArticlesBase.com
Buzzle.com
SearchWarp.com
ArticleAlley.com
GoArticles.com
Web-Source.net
ArticleSet.com
WebProNews.com
Amazines.com
Some directories like Ezine articles and Buzzle.com will only accept unique material, so you will need to re-write the articles before posting them to these directories.
Step 3: Write the author bio and the resource box for each directory. Getting the resource box right is crucial in generating traffic to your site. This is the only place where you are allowed to promote your products and services. Make sure you place the relevant hyperlinks strategically within the resource box.
Step 4: Make a list of the information needed to log into each single directory. In most cases, this will be the e-mail, username and password. For example: Ezine – myemail – myusername – mypassword. From one directory to another the categories’ name will vary, so also make a note of the applicable category title for each directory.
Internet Marketing tutorial ? Estimate your Traffic with Google
Feb 19th

Analyzing correctly traffic estimates
One of the most important concepts relating to internet marketing is the understanding of traffic estimates.
In this article I will be exploring this in more details, and will also be looking at how web page ranking develops over time.
Every time you enter a search term into Google, the search engines take note of your keyword phrases. Over time Google develops estimates detailing the number of times people search for different keyword phrases on a daily basis.
This information is priceless. It will allow you to gain valuable estimates on the potential traffic that your website could receive when targeting particular keywords.
For any specific keyword phrase, you can setup 3 different types of traffic estimates in Google. Let’s take for example the topic: “fly fishing”.
Exact match traffic estimate
This pertains to the number of people who are typing the exact term “fly fishing” into Google.
Phrase match traffic estimate
This correlates with the number of searches containing the words “fly fishing” in this exact order. For example: “fly fishing tips”, “New Zealand fly fishing” or “rods for fly fishing”.
Broad match traffic estimate
This applies to the number of people who are looking for the word “fly” and “fishing” in any order. For example: “fishing the fly for beginners”, “the fly shop fishing equipment”, etc.
Why is it important to distinguish between these 3 terms?
To answer this question you need to understand how Google ranking develops over time.
When you first create a website, Google sends out a GoogleBot or spiders to examine it. It looks at the content of your page and the number and type of links that point to your site and rank your site for particular keyword phrases that it sees as relevant.
