Computer Equipments.Hardware and Software
Jul 28th
The equipments like tools, keys, locks, chains and all the other equipments that are made up of metals and are used in mechanical processes like repairing or maintenance in the process of dealing with machines. With hardware people are sometimes confused between hardware and computer hardware. But there is a major difference between hardware and computer hardware.
What is computer hardware?
All those components of computer system that are tangible and on which either input could be given (like keyboard and mouse etc.) or output could be received (like monitor and printer etc.) are known as computer hardware. These hardware components of computer system themselves do not generate instructions but process the instructions generated by either software or user.
Computer hardware is only a subset of word hardware that is when we say computer hardware we only mean the hardware used in computer system but if we say only hardware we mean all the hardware that can be used in any machine. Computer hardware includes following parts in computer system like: keyboard, mouse, floppy drive, hard disk, CD Drive, printer, RAM etc.
But do the hardware alone makes the computer system not it is wrong. A computer system with hardware and without software is life less that means it is same as like a skeleton without life. To make a computer system fully functional software is essential with the hardware. The very basic software that is required for making computer to work in a friendly manner and making it to support all the user activities is operating system.
Computer Network Repair for Beginners
Jul 26th
While computer network repair is not something most beginning computer users want to tackle, there are a few things you can check that are common causes why your computer network won’t work. Sometimes, checking simple things can make your network start working again. You might be able to isolate the problem, making computer network repair less time-consuming, in the event you need an on-site computer network repair technician. Most of the time, computer networks will use Windows programs or SQL servers.
The first thing to try is to re-boot the system. This means you need to turn off all the peripheral computers and the main computer or network server will need to be re-booted, (turned off and then turned back on). Don’t forget to re-boot the router because sometimes, this will be your problem. After you have tried this approach, you might find the system will be working because sometimes, an electrical blip causes the network to have errors, when booting up. This process might take a few minutes.
The next step for beginning computer network repair is to check the cabling connections. Sometimes, a connection can work itself loose if you accidentally bump a component. If you have a red “X” in the system tray, this could be the problem. When you are narrowing down problems in computer network repair, a loose cable can be the problem many times.
Usually, the next step in troubleshooting your computer network repair will be to check the hardware and make sure there are not problems. You go to the “Control Panel”, then “Device Manager” to see if there are any disabled network devices marked with a red “X”. You might need to re-enable the device, if you see these signs. If there is no network device listed, you might have a problem with your network card. If these are not problems, the next step in computer network repair would be to perform the Windows Diagnostics.
What Would A Computer Be Without Hardware?
Jul 22nd
When the first PCs started turning up in the late seventies and early eighties they where designed to help businesses manage spreadsheets and if you were lucky help you write a letter to the bank manager asking, no doubt for more money, because you needed to re-mortgage the house for the latest breakthrough in cutting edge computing.
Nowadays computers come in all shapes and sizes and are capable of far more than just adding up a couple of sums. You can surf the web, play games, edit photos, listen to your music, make music even, oh and still of course get them to help you with your spread sheets and perhaps rather than a letter to your bank manager, simply manage your bank account online yourself.
But hardware doesn’t just cover computers and laptops but the multitude of accessories to go with it. The latest monitors that let you enjoy your desktop more, the 1TB hard drives that let you store all the data. Then there are the keyboards and mice that let you control it and that’s before you’ve got to the speakers to let you listen to it, the network modems that let you connect to the internet or the other massive plethora of USB devices that will do everything from letting you read a memory card to warming up a pair of slippers so you don’t get cold feet when doing your work.
The ultimate computer set up at home in my mind would consist of the following:
Apple MacBook Pro laptop.
