Computer Freezing Up? 3 Ways to Cure Computer Freeze Up

Have you ever been in the middle of a project, or playing a game when all of a sudden your computer freezes up? No matter how hard you try to get your computer to come back to life the only thing you can do is manually hit the power button. This causes you to lose all the information that you had not saved before the computer freeze. This can be a giant pain which is why I thought I would help you out by giving you three ways to prevent the infamous computer freeze or blue screen of death in the future.
1. Upgrade Hardware – If your computer is constantly freezing up it may be because you are pushing your system to its limits. If you’re an avid gamer, maybe it’s time to upgrade your graphics card. If you work with graphic design, perhaps it’s time to upgrade your system’s RAM. These are affordable investments into your computer and can significantly boost the speed of your computer. If you’re not comfortable changing the hardware in your computer then just find a local PC technician. You may have to sacrifice the use of your PC for a day or two but it will be well worth it.
2. Update Hardware Drivers – One common reason for computer freeze up is hardware malfunction. The best thing that you can do is run updates for all of your hardware devices so that you can be sure that all of your hardware devices are integrating correctly. Just go to the control panel and run the required updates. Not all hardware devices will need to be updated.
3. Invest in a Registry Cleaner – Every PC has a windows registry and it is estimated that every PC user has an average of 1,000 registry errors at any given time. This can make your computer very slow and cause it to freeze up. This situation is easily remedied though with the purchase of a registry cleaner like RegCure.

Computer Hardware For UAVs – Capitalizing on Synergies, Swarming, and Cost Reduction
about 4 months ago - No comments

It is amazing what the human mind will come up with when faced with a problem. As America came under attack from international terrorism, and as the rest of the world decided that we must do something about all this. Unmanned aerial vehicles came into the picture as the obvious answer.
They are able to loiter far above the land and look down at what’s going on and monitor the terrorists and then one by one remove them from the present time period. Today the computer hardware for UAVs is quite advanced; the operator sits in a room looking at a TV screen, and flies the air craft just as if he is in a Microsoft simulator playing a video game.
There is also lots of other computer hardware in conjunction with the satellite relay system in the unmanned aerial vehicle itself. Further, scientists and engineers have been able to hook many UAVs together so the person flying the UAV is only actually flying one of the airplanes, but there are five others fly in formation with it that are “slaved” to its guidance system and they thus, all steered by the computer hardware at the command-and-control module.
This means that not every UAV needs all that computer-hardware, rather they are slaved to the UAV that has the extra-componentry.
This saves costs, and creates synergies using a swarming system strategy. By saving money on equipment and staying efficient, we are able to monitor more with fewer resources and have the capacity needed to win the war on terror. Please consider all this.
Types and Advantages of computer networks
about 5 months ago - No comments

You must know that a network consists of more than one commuter that is linked in order to share resources. It is advantageous in that you can exchange files; allow electronic communications, even printers and CD-ROMs). There are three basic types of network that are normally used:
1. Local Area Network (LAN) 2. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) 3. Wide Area Network
Local Area Network is confined to a small area and is generally limited to a geographical area about a mile apart to other computers. The configuration of LAN consists of software that controls the network and also the software that is shared by other computers that are attached to the network. It consists of a file server, a workstation and cables.
Metropolitan Area Network covers larger geographic areas and covers cities. They are used by local libraries and Government agencies to connect to citizens and private industries.
Wide Area Network connects larger geographic areas all over the world.
It works with transoceanic cables or satellite uplinks.
ADVANTAGES
Speed is one of the advantages. Sharing and transferring files are very fast and saves a lot of time. It does not allow any fraud connections and is very safe. Another advantage is the cost. If the copies are made individually licensing each copy becomes very expensive.
If Networkable versions are used it saves cost. The upgrading of the program becomes easier in shared programs instead of upgrading individual work stations. Security is another factor. You must know that sensitive files on a network are password protected. They are termed as ‘copy inhibit’. This does not allow illegal copying. Another advantage is the Centralized Software Management. This can be loaded on just one computer which is the file server and time and energy in installing updates and tracking them on individual computers can be eliminated. Other advantages are Resource Sharing, Electronic Mail use, flexible access and Group Work computing.
Looking through all the advantages what does a technological person think? Yes, he feels nice that communication which the most important part of today’s knowledge based work has developed very fast and is also helpful not only for science and technology but also for the common man who can connect himself to different people and places.
It is because of this fast paced communication network that globalization has become easy. The modern world has come closer to each other and each country is not an island by itself. Even continents have come closer because of the advent of information technology. Due to this economy have also improved and different types of businesses have come into being.
Another major advantage of this is that many new jobs have got created in the technical field and has provided opportunities for the new generation to earn more and have a better standard of living.
The present generations including young adults who are still in the field of education are also aware of file sharing and storage of major knowledge that they acquire. Even families have now learnt to have different modems if each member has a computer and they get interconnected using a network with just one modem and printer. Networking has resolved the problem of purchasing expensive soft wares available in the market. Software can be stored in one system or server and it can be used by different work stations.

How to Become a Computer Network Administrator
about 5 months ago - No comments

So you want to learn how to become a network administrator. This could be your next step towards a challenging, fulfilling and rewarding career in the information technology field. The future looks bright for this career – in 2006 the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimated that the field of network administration will have grown by 18 percent by 2016, adding 155,000 new jobs. As a network administrator you can manage online functions, local area networks and wide area networks for businesses, government agencies and/or nonprofit organizations. But before anything else you will need to get some education and training.
Most network administrators enter this career after getting a bachelor’s degree in computer science, although there are other degree options. If you get an associate’s degree in computer science or a bachelor’s degree in a related field like math or engineering, but you have taken computer classes and earned the most sought-after certifications, you should still have a bright future in this industry.
Whatever educational path you take, it also really helps to complete an internship program while you’re in school. This way you’ll have some experience to boost your résumé, and you may even get a job at that company once the internship is over.
Once you have gotten your education and training out of the way, then you need to update that résumé to include all your experience and start applying for jobs. If you weren’t able to get hired at the company you interned at, try to see what kind of services your school’s career center offers. There are also online job boards geared toward network administrators and other tech jobs. You may also find some part time, temporary or freelance positions that are immediately available if you can’t find a full time job in this field right away.
It’s never been a better time to be a network administrator. The salary range for network administrators in the United States is ,520 to ,000 per year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. With experience and merit there’s no reason why you can’t earn a salary in the top of that range.
Network and computer Security services by BEL Network Integration & Support

In the field of Computer Networking support, the specializer area of network security consists of the plannings and policies adopted by the Computer network administrator and networking consultant to prevent and monitor without official authorization access, misuse, modification, or denial of the computer network and network-accessible resources.
Network installation service and security is the process of preventing and detecting unauthorized use of your computer. Prevention measures help you to stop unauthorized users (also known as “intruders”) from accessing any part of your computer system. Detection helps you to determine whether or not someone attempted to break into your system, if they were successful, and what they may have done.
The term network security refers to steps taken with the intention of protecting your computer and data network of threats from Trojan horses, worms, viruses, ad ware, hacker attacks, spyware, denial of service attacks, identity theft and theft by data interception.
In short, network support services measures are implemented to protect the computers in your office by ensuring their integrity, reliability, usability and safety of your computer network and data.
Effective network security targets a variety of threats and stops them from entering or spreading on your network.
Implementation of Network Security
To better understand its implementation, let us consider a hypothetical example. Let us assume a new Fort Knox was being setup and you were in charge of its security.
How would you go about ensuring the security of the vault and the bank in general?
You would probably want to start at the vault itself by building one of solid steel or titanium having three feet thickness or so. The thickness would make it impervious to drilling or even powerful blasts. Then you would probably install movement detectors, heat detectors and tremor sensors. For the vault door itself you would probably want to use the world’s best locking system controlled by two or more authorized personnel. Moving one layer ahead, you might consider it a good idea to have a posse of security guards to prevent all but only authorized personnel from approaching the vault and so on. In other words, you would rely on several measures implemented like layers of an onion. And that is also exactly how computer network and data security measures are implemented – there is no one particular software or hardware rather, it is several measures implemented at several levels.
All these measures need to be reviewed no less than once a year because hackers and malicious software creators quickly learn how to bypass your security measures by hard work, sheer ingenuity and lots of skill. Computer network even includes your peripheral and communication devices. Hackers are known to routinely hack into the telephone network, pretend to be an authorized employee and phone up the system administrator to request that the password to a certain computer or wifi router be reset. A few seconds is all it takes for the hacker to get into your computer system.
Network security services and measures include but are not limited to installation of up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware, anti-adware, properly configured state-of-the-art firewalls, intrusion prevention systems and virtual private networks (VPN’s), to ensure secure remote access.
Major Benefits of Network Security
A good network security ensures that your company meets the mandatory regulatory compliance because network security helps protect sensitive data and reduces the risk of legal action from affected parties due to data theft. Network Security also saves your company a lot of embarrassment by not getting bad media attention that follows any security breach, it also protects from unwanted (and usually expensive) disruptions. Ultimately, network security ensures the protection of your most important asset – your business reputation.

The Network Time Protocol – Used in Computer Networks
about 6 months ago - No comments

By description, this is a protocol designed for transfer of time around a computer network. It works through a hierarchy composed of several strata starting with Stratum 0 which provides the external source of time. Stratum 1 gets the accurate time from a hardware clock which can be got through GPS signals as they are the safest and most reliable. This is because of the many satellites that orbit the earth at any one time. The references are not limited to these as radio signals and broadcasts also provide a safe and relatively reliable source of time. The broadcasts vary with locations and are not as centralized as the GPS signals but they all provide related times, if not equal. Some common ones include MSF from the UK, JJY from Japan and WWVB from the USA.
Reliability being the main issue means that there is need for backup reference clocks in the unlikely event of a signal outage.
These references provide the time with the same precision as the signals and are able to maintain a holdover for extended periods until the signals are regained. These backups are expensive however and the reasons for getting them should be more than the reasons for foregoing them. If you decide you need them to maintain the time then there are crystal oscillators that come at a good price.
NTP client software is usually provided with most OS. Linux has GNU public licence NTP client while Windows has Windows Time service. The advantage of having NTV servers is that is to make sure that the time-stamped transactions are carried out in the specified order. They are the missing link between network time distribution and the global time scale and should be an integral part of any company or organization.
Network Forensics Or Computer Forensics
about 6 months ago - No comments

The expansion in networking correlations, convolutions and commotions has been followed by an increase in the amount of transgressions perpetrated within the networks. This has compelled the venture and law enforcement to embark on highly focused and specialized enquiries. Forensic scrutiny is the systematic analysis of a crime scene that creates unusual hitches and complications in the imaginary world. The main issue for an examiner within a computer is making some logic out of delicate digital data structured in vague and convoluted manner within the extensively large digital framework of the network.
Network forensics or Computer Forensics is the arrest, footage, and scrutiny of network events in order to identify the origin of security attacks. It assists in discovering unlawful admittance to a computer system, and hunts for proof in case of such an event.
Network forensics is the skill to scrutinize, at a network level, events happening or that have already occurred across an IT system.
There Are Three Steps To Network Forensics:
Intrusion Detection
Logging is the most excellent means to trail a hacker is by recording and preserving vast records of motion on a network with the help of an intrusion detection system.
Correlating Intrusion Detection And Logging
The utmost objective of network forensics is to present satisfactory evidence to let the illicit executor to be effectively put on trial. The realistic implementation of Network Forensics could be in areas such as hacking, deception, scam, insurance companies, data theft—industrial spying, denigration, narcotics trafficking, credit card replicas, software piracy, electoral law, obscene publication, false swearing, massacre, sexual harassment, and prejudice.
The most challenging part whilst performing network forensics is the thorough quantity of data produced by the network, mostly covering gigabytes on a daily basis. It becomes very monotonous to seek for facts and sometimes becomes nearly impossible to discover one, especially if the event is exposed after a very long time. Fortunately, the broad range of potent software, counting products rationale-built for forensic analysis, makes it convenient and realistic to crack cases.

Computer Hardware Manufacturers See Profits in the Health Care IT Upgrade Initiatives
about 6 months ago - 1 comment

Just when you thought the IT industry in Washington DC would collapse, President Obama’s administration has discovered something for them to do. During the Bush administration they upgraded all the Information Technology systems for the military to help on the war on terror. This put nearly everyone to work in the industry, and there was actually a shortage of Information Technology people. The technical colleges, online programs, and all the major universities were pumping out people as fast as they could to meet the demand.
Many Washington DC suburbs are filled with Information Technology Professionals, working for various government agencies, and a good many of them in the military industrial complex. President Bush believed that healthcare money could be saved if the industry brought in better computer efficiencies.
This also means that all of the hospitals and all the government run healthcare services will have to upgrade all their computer hardware systems.
This will be huge boon for the manufacturers of this bad credit payday computer hardware and it will all be paid for with taxpayer’s money. Is my hope that these IT systems will get so good, along with software manufacturers, that we will be able to create artificial intelligent decision-making machines, which we will no longer need anybody working in government and we can let computers run our government.
Surely, they will be honest, won’t complain, don’t need pensions, and they don’t need health care. This will save the US taxpayer all the money that they spent investing in the Information Technology sector in Washington DC previously. Please consider all this.

Computer Support On Wireless Networking
about 6 months ago - 1 comment

With Wireless networking you can enjoy a flexible and clutter free computing experience. May be you can have a computer in your drawing room and you have it directly plugged into the cable or DSL modem. Now if you buy another computer or laptop and want to use the new device at another end of the house you may need to connect it with cables. Rather than cabling, you can access the Internet and other peripherals easily if you add this new computer or laptop wirelessly, suggest computer support experts.
If you want to share the same printer from both the computers then again you can connect the printer wirelessly. To connect your computer wirelessly you will need to have cable or DSL modem and of course a built in wireless router. You can also buy a wireless router to connect it to your modem, suggest the technicians for computer support.
Router generates radio signals. That enables two way communications between the device with the wireless network adapter and the router. The wireless equipped devices can be laptops, printers, iPods, computers and even mobile phones. If your computer does not have the built in adapter for router, you can buy a new one and can insert it into the USB port of your computer.
So if you are thinking about the differences of wired and wireless connection guys for computer support explains the thing very interestingly. They suggest that if you think the wireless network is connected by invisible wires then the other things are just the same except some high definitions applications.
Tech support guys suggest you to be aware about the security concern about the wireless connection. The good thing about the wireless network is that you can control access to the wireless network so you can control the access within the stuff of business enterprise or within your family members. But sometimes the access control option in a wireless router can be turned off by when they come from the manufacture’s factory. For this computer support guys suggest you to check the setting of the router and can configure it so that you can ensure that you have allowed the access only to the authorized users.
You can set the access control by following some steps suggested by the tech support guys. You can set the WEP or WPA encryption enabled on your router and can set a network password or key so if anyone tries to access the network will be needed to provide the password. You can use this method to manage unauthorized access to your network. The users whom you will like to access the network should be given the password. The password can be changed if you would like to change it.
You can also control the access to your network by allowing only some familiar devices to access the network. This security method can be ensured by MAC addresses that are built into most of the digital services. For this method the list of the addresses are needed to be stored in the router. Before allowing the network access each and every device will be needed to be identified itself by the MAC address it provides.
Following these computer support methods you can control network access by different devices. When you are using wireless networking the question of security is important because chances of getting hacked are very high here.
A Review About Computer Networking Firms
about 6 months ago - 1 comment

The most overlapping technology of all times and will surely remain as the most important in future as well is Computer. It is one of the best inventions of human being and no other invention can break down its importance. If we look a few decades before then we hardly know nominal information about peoples and countries, what happen in the other city, what is the culture of theirs but now if a small accident happen in the other corner of the world, you will surely come to know in a while. All is just because of this small computer machine.
Computer indulges into our life like a vaccine and now we got everything computerized, which not only lessen the human force but also enhance the capability of work with short time. Computers are good if they are used single handedly without the connection of the work but if they are in a Network Setup then it means you got the whole world in your computer. You can sale/purchase products, join communities, run your business etc.
Many IT agencies are providing their services for the setup of Computer Networking to business firms, so they can interact within the organization without any inconvenience of leaving their desk and the access of a single device and software from different computers. Computer networking is not only used for internal communication and alliance but it is used to safe guard the confidential documents and reports from outsiders ( hackers, viruses, Trojans and stuff ) and also to make sure that you are running a safe business as it matters when you are dealing with your clients.
You can own a staff of IT professionals for full time to assemble and look after for the proper working of the network, which might be not good for new and small business firms regarding the cost of these professionals. To escape from the extra cost of in-house staff you can go for off-shore company to assist you in building your computer network setup and to provide you remote monitoring and going for off-shore companies is quite cheap as compare to in-house staff. You can easily find out sourcing companies on search engines and referral sites.
Home Computer Network With Powerline Ethernet Adapter
about 6 months ago - No comments

Building a computer network in your large home with two storey building is more difficult compared with a home with only one floor building and is sometimes frustrating. Thick concrete building generally contributes signal attenuation and dead spots in wireless. Running network cable is a hard work. But Powerline Ethernet adapter helps you build the network easily.
Should you build a home computer network from the scratch which consist of first floor where your Cable / DSL internet connection starts and the second floor where you would like to Expand the network wirelessly, you should assess your requirements to meet your needs. On the first floor, how many computers you need, how you connect them – wired or wireless. On the second floor, this is important because you need to connect the first floor to the second floor where a thick concrete building will be an obstacle whether you run the network cable or wireless access.
In the first floor where your router gateway (with 4x Ethernet ports) is located connects two desktop computers which are close each other with the gateway router – a wired connection for each of the computer is easier.
You just need to run a network UTP cable from each of the desktop computer to the router Ethernet ports.
Now the challenge is how to connect several laptops with Wi-Fi enabled and other Ethernet based devices in the second floor to allow them connect and access the Internet? You have two options – you run a network cable from the first floor to the second floor, or you provide wireless access from the first floor to the second floor clients. To run a network cable from the first floor to the second floor you need an extra effort probably by drilling the hole or run the clutter of the wires that will just look untidy.
You can install a wireless access point in the first floor and allow client computers in the second floor connect wirelessly.
But with the thick concrete building between the first and the second floor the wireless signal strength received by client computers in the second floor would be considerably weak. Your wireless performance in the second floor would be unsatisfactory.
The easiest way for your home computer network with two floors like this is to install a Powerline Ethernet adapter in the first floor and another adapter in the second floor. With Powerline Ethernet adapter, you can create high-speed secure building wide network using the power outlets in a single circuit breaker. The TPL-401E2K Trendnet Powerline Ethernet adapter is a new high speed adapter delivering the speeds of up to 500Mbps (theoretical) via the power outlets.
In this case, you can install one TPL-401E2K in the first floor and connect to the Ethernet port of your router gateway. And then you can install other Powerline adapters in each of the available power outlets in home as necessary to meet your need. Install one adapter in the second floor where you would like to install the wireless access point.
What this TPL-401E2K Does
Trendnet TPL-401E2K Powerline Ethernet Adapter is a high speed adapter via power outlets delivering the speeds of up to 500Mbps (in ideal conditions). The adapter is equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet port which is ideal in delivering high speed applications such as streaming High Definition (HD) media and smooth gaming. You can deploy up to 16 adapters in a network. For security connection, the adapter supports advanced 128-bit AES data encryption.
One thing to remember in deploying the Powerline Ethernet adapters in a building is that the adapters must be in a single circuit breaker system. If there are two circuit breaker systems in your building, to cover the whole building network you need to make a link between the circuit breakers. You need to install one adapter in one circuit breaker and another adapter in the other circuit breaker and link them as a bridge.
Now you can successfully build your home computer network providing wired connection in the first floor and wireless access in the second floor using the TPL-401E2K Powerline Ethernet adapter as a bridge between the floors via power outlets eliminating the clutter of the wires.
